Bernardus is a singer/songwriter from Lincoln, Nebraska. He currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and newborn daughter. Although he calls the midwest ‘home’, Bernardus has made a new life for himself in the south. Over the past two years, he has been songwriting with many award winning and talented songwriters. Now, back in the artist saddle, he has set his focus on a new sound. One that he feels hits home closer to home. Americana roots have mixed with a popular country songwriting style resulting in a unique sound that is hard to hide your ears from.

In January of 2020, Bernardus and his talented band of both Nashville and Lincoln musicians (Adam Kovar, Matt Cornell, Jake Kramer, Stefan Guy, Justin Eason) hit the studio to record 12 songs. With the help of producer Garrett Miller and songwriters Cotter Hill, Cameron Blackburn, Corey Wagar, Mitch Rossell, Bobby Evans, and JC Andersen (to name a few), Bernardus plans to release songs all throughout 2020. Bernardus (the singer/songwriter) has embodied the mantra of taking risks to follow his dream. Growing up in Lincoln, Nebraska, the songwriter had always longed for more than a simple life. Playing music at a young age sparked the desire for greatness. After playing in multiple bands, leading worship at his church and many many hour of lessons, Bernardus began writing his own music in 2014. By the end of 2016 he had created a band, recorded an Ep with producer Ryan Confer and toured across the country playing in nearly 28 states and almost 200 shows. It did not take long for this artist to take the next step and head south to music city. In Nashville, Bernardus and his band recorded their 2018 album with producer Christian Hale (mixed by Ryan Confer). This album was released in June 2018. Bernardus is currently writing and recording new music in Nashville.
